I don’t have many places where I can meet people. Somehow, I found myself here looking for something I probably will never find. I am so sick of people telling you they’re not like everyone else when that’s exactly what they are. So many people are so great at talking a good talk until they have to walk the walk. In other words, actions speak so much louder than words. I’m so sick of just the words that end up turning into lies. Why bother spending time with someone, getting to know them only to just delete your screen name and ghost you? What’s the point? Whether it’s a friend or a possible connection, since it’s an option now, ghosting is a part of our social lives.

You already know who I am, I don’t have to spell it out for you. I’m no stranger here. I’m just writing today because I’m sick and tired of being sick and tired. People think I don’t have a life outside my computer – like they know me? Like they know anything about me? Harsh, judgmental and cruel people who wouldn’t say to your face the things they write here or anywhere else for that matter as long as their anonymous.

I tried, and failed, to find someone to connect with. Not physically – you can do that with anyone. I wanted something more challenging. My mind is going to waste except for the stories I write. I can’t find my mental counterpart. I realize now he doesn’t exist. Too many obstacles. Too much baggage. Too much fear. Too much insincerity. Too much malice. People are lacking human kindness. Compassion. Understanding. Love.

People are selfish, mean and so very angry. Try to help someone and what do you get? More reasons to NOT try and help someone. It makes me wish there was a parallel universe where I can escape to where people are different. Where people cared. Where people were happy. A place that doesn’t know what the word hate means. A place where we could ALL be treated as equals. A place where you can love WHOEVER you want and not have the wrath of other’s beliefs try to crush you.

Like John Lennon sang, “You may say I’m a dreamer, but I’m not the only one. I hope some day you will join us, and the world will live as one. Imagine all the people sharing the world and living in peace.” Sorry John, that was a great idea that never came to fruition. Hate breeds hate.
